Your department is invited to participate in a new wireless merchant assistance program developed by Falcon Wireless.
Known as D-LAW, the system is based on a dual function wireless notification technology developed to aid cashiers to request instant assistance by management via means of a simple push button device used in conjunction with a pager worn by the manager.
The retail version, called D-MGR, consists of a simple two button sending unit and an associated text message display pager. The black button is used to summon store manager assistance. The red button has been added as an emergency call button for larger stores with internal security personnel.
Unlike public paging systems, there are no monthly airtime charges associated with the D-MGR system.
A companion product, known as D-CALL, is optionally available to larger retailers who have door sensors to detect stolen merchandise being removed from the store. Unlike conventional notification systems, D-CALL provides silent alerting to store security personnel.
Digital wireless technology provides a higher level of efficiency for merchants and with the advent of D-LAW; this technology can be extended to provide a higher level of security, personal safety, and more effective law enforcement. Heres how it works!
Depending on the size of your community, one or more D-LAW DigiPeater stations are installed at appropriate locations such as water tanks, existing towers etc. for the purpose of picking up signals from merchant locations and re-transmitting messages to the police station or to individual officers as you choose.
The cost for each DigiPeater station is $37 per month with all maintenance included on a five-year lease purchase basis. At the end of five years, you can purchase the station for $1 and the cost ends.
The D-LAW receiver can be operated at a fixed location or worn by officers. The price is the same for either model - $4 monthly. These receivers have the capability of receiving not only merchant alarm messages, but also departmental, and individual messages when used with an optional sending terminal.
The D-TERM can be used send alphanumeric text messages from a fixed dispatch location or connected to a standard telephone line (shared fax lines do well). When connected to a phone line, private messages can be sent by dialing into the system (numeric from any phone, or alpha-numeric messages from a PC with appropriate software or low cost page sending devices). The price of the D-TERM is $23 monthly.
We normally suggest that the participating merchants pay a $10 monthly fee for D-LAW pro-rata cost charging. Just 10 participating merchants would cover the cost of a DigiPeater, a D-TERM, and ten D-LAW receivers a small price to pay for faster response time and elimination of pager costs for your department!
